Ireng Guntorojati received the ASEAN Engineering Award 2025 for his international engineering achievements, dedicating it to Wiratman Group and Chodai Co., Ltd.
The Sunda Strait Bridge is an unbuilt 30 km road-and-rail link between Java and Sumatra. Conceived by Prof. Dr. Ir. Wiratman Wangsadinata in the 1990s and backed by B.J. Habibie, it remains a powerful symbol of Indonesia’s ambition for archipelagic connectivity and engineering innovation.
Wiratman contributed to the official application guide for SNI 1726:2019 on earthquake-resistant high-rise buildings. This publication supports better seismic design practices in Indonesia.
